DARK THEME

A New Type of Genre for microStudio

Dear everyone here,

Have you thought of a new game genre? But what if we made it in microStudio?? Isn't that such a good idea for microStudio? It might help grow microStudio and make it a more fun and useful game engine to use? Because I really think this is possible, I want microStudio to really be a game engine for beginners that everyone in the game development industry will know, making a new genre for microStudio will really change wouldn't it? This is really something I have been thinking about for a while, and I cannot do this on my own, let's maybe do this together, as a positive and supporting community! And let me know of any ideas to change microStudio!

Sincerely, Tiberius/Tiberius2.

how about 3d runners or clicker something along major games?

So you want a 3d runner or clicker? I could make that but I meant like a new genre for microStudio, examples of game genres are like platformer (Mario), runner (sonic), and action (like pokemon).

genre: action. game-type: top down. restriction: the player can only fight with trees.

do what you will with this but if you use the first 2 pls use the 3rd one to it will be a interesting game idea

I think it's necessary to start providing resources for newcomers. It's true, when I started out, it was really difficult, even with tutorials and examples. In other words, there should be a library where people can find examples of character movement, camera animations… for all those who have been exasperated by sprite animation. What do you think?

That does actually sound like a good idea, but what I am trying to say is Creating a new genre for the gaming industry, like idk like Paradox Puzzles or something like that, or maybe like a combination of platformer and RPG called idk PlatFormer-RPG. Like That like a new game genre idea.

And 225geometrydash there is it is called Quick Engine or my Quick Engine 2.0! :)

Oh, sorry, I'm constantly making mistakes.

No it's alright! But for real creating a new genre for microStudio will really help the microStudio! What should it be called? Because I really want to try doing that!!!

A 2 Player Roguelike where one player makes the level in base a template, and the other have to pass that level. I think i describe Dungeon Keeper. So that it is not unfair, the Dungeon Master have a currency and every trap cost money. The way that you can gain money is when the player passes the level or if died. The money that the Dungeon Keeper gain is F(x) = Δx if the Hero (The player who have to pass the level) passes the level and F(x) = 25+(Δx) if the player died. x is the life of the player and Δx is the difference between MaxHP and CurrentHP. Every level the Player can choose three upgrades and the Dungeon Master can choose three new traps. The Player will spawn in the down left corner and the goal will spawn in the top right corner in a 10x10 grid.

horror,simulations, sandboxes etc

Try combining two different genres in a weird way

Challcrot That sounds like a brand new genre!!! But what should it be called and what would it look like, is it like two genres in a weird way? That sounds awesome!

Tiberius. It will be called... oh i know! Dungeon Kepeer.

Holy YES LET'S DO IT!!!

Guys Does anyone else want to join my new genre project?

I'm not sure how much help i can provide, but it sounds interesting to make, almost like Ultimate Chicken Horse.

Yes! I actually play it it is kinda fun are you going to join?

if you wanna invite me, i'd be happy to help where I can in art and code

Alright thanks!

@tiberius2 platformer rpg is actually already a thing on microstudio, i know bc im developing one and i know the developer of the second

oh I did not know that then what should the new genre be then?

would this be considered an rpg? it's more of a multiplayer pvp/pve game

Idk I am trying to make a new genre but there are too many :(
