What's coming to Fabricatio?

Ok, so I have been working on the next update for Fabricatio, and I have some news about how it's going.

In the previous posts, when announcing that V1.0.1 will be released soon, I mentioned afew things that I will be adding to the game, including:

Towns with Townsfolk

More Wood Variants

More Mobs

More Dimensions

Sound Effects/Music

And yes, I will be adding all of these in the future, but only a couple of them will be making it into V1.0.2.

The ones that WON'T make it: I have not yet started on making the towns and townsfolk, but I will add that later on.

For all the folks who know I love wood, you will be surprised to hear that V1.0.2 will actually NOT be receiving any new wood variants. I will be adding more of those in V1.0.3.

I'm very sorry, but the sound effects/music will not be making it into V1.0.3, mostly because I have actually not gotten the music for the game yet, and I have very little sound effects recorded so far.

Updates that MIGHT make it: I might consider adding more mobs to V1.0.2, but I don't have any ideas, please leave a suggestion down below, if I don't get any suggestions I don't know what I'll add, maybe a cow or something.

New dimensions might make it into the game, I won't specify what Dimension, but it might come. And by the way, I know what Dimension I'll add first.

Updates that WILL make it into V1.0.2: Ok, here's the section you've all been waiting for, what will be being added to the game in V1.0.2?

Some things here were listed above, and some are completely new concepts to the game.

Ok, we all know how the world creation screen looked, right? It was quite ugly. And if I'm being honest, I designed it that way, but whatever.

I am refining the look of the world creation menu, to make it look so much better, hopefully also making it easier to navigate your world.

If you are using a public computer, like me, you will know how annoying it is to need to start a new world every time you want to play the game, because your stuff gets deleted when you leave.

Guess what? You can now create an account, log in, and retrieve all you worlds, that way that trouble is gone!

You can also view pictures you have taken, from any world on your account, by pressing a new button on the main menu!

If you wanted to view a certain picture, but didn't want to change worlds, you can also view them by pressing a button on the new pause menu!

By pressing esc, you can open a new menu, that allows you to quit the game to be able to change your world safely.

And there were some errors with lag, because of the way the chunks load, so I have fixed that to!

Now the chunks load way better than before, so they look better, and the game runs better to!

Another error that caused lag was the game saving every second of the gameplay.

This will not happen anymore with the new 'Save and Quit' option on the menu, where that is the only time it saves.

(There will also be an auto save every few minutes, just in case you create a world, and hours later, you havn't saved once and it crashed, don't worry, I thought of that!)

Have you ever wanted to just peacefully build on this game without getting attacked, and without going out to collect recources, risking losing your home?

Ok, truth is, you don't get attacked yet, but you do have to go out to collect recources and risk losing you home.

Not anymore! With the new 'Build in Peace' mode, you can build freely with any block in the game, and don't have to worry about surviving!

We have two announcements left, I havn't board you, have I? I hope not, anywho:

Ok, I get the feeling, you are playing, and you just want to talk to a friend, because you just built something way too cool. We all get there. Don't we?

Anyways, with the new Global Chat feature, you can chat with people from around the world, with an auto translate feature, so you can even talk to those spanish people you just keep saying Soy Pollo Loco to. No? Just me? Ok, anyways, you can also send photos that you took in gane to send through the chat, showing off your builds.

This is going to be a massive feature, because online comunication was not in the game before.

And the final announcment:

Sean:'Well, how do you like the game?'

Craft: 'It's WAY too easy!'

Sean:'What? What do you mean?'

Craft:'I mean, it's way too easy, the only way to die is drowning or falling off of cliffs, I mean, who does those things?'

Sean:'You do, ALOT, but I get your point.'

Craft:'This isn't being posted, is it? People don't need to know I'm bad at your game'

Sean:'Oh, yes, it's being posted.'

Craft:'Your bluffing.'

Sean:'Am I?'

Craft:' '

Sean:'Fine, I'll make the game harder'

That's right folks! I am going to be adding some hostile mobs, and temperature damage, so you might want to get that heat resistant armor on before heading into a dessert!

I hope you enjoyed this log, and I hope you are waiting for V1.0.2, because it will be released late December or early 2027!

Go play the game right now on itch.io, and see what it's like right now as V1.0.1 before it s V1.0.2!

Great game! I'm going to try it out right away. As for the problem of losing your house... you could add a coordinate display showing the location of structures. Either way, I support your project and look forward to seeing the new version.
