How can I stop music from playing?

In my game, I want to add the option that you can the soundtrack off. How can I code it so that I can turn the music off and on again and again?

Any help would be appreciated :)

music = audio.playMusic( "mymusic" )	

music.stop()

I am doing that but the box in the bottom right says that is not a function?
