Click on sprites?

OK so like i know there's probably tons of projects that have done this but i literally cant figure it out. I'm attempting to make a mobile game and the four button sprites i made i literally can't figure out how to make them clickable. please help.

in the update loop you need to detect the position of the mouse (touch, gamepad) and whether a button is pressed. If so, you check whether the mouse is in the area occupied by the sprite.
