Why does screen.isFontReady always return true?
When I use screen.isFontReady(...)
to test if a font is ready to be displayed, it always returns true. Regardless of this result, the font shows as the default serif font for a few seconds before ACTUALLY loading my font. This happens on the game page and the editor itself. Am I using this function incorrectly? I don't understand how it can verify that the font is ready when it is 100% not ready lmao. Assuming it's a bug unless anyone has some insight, thanks!
Update: here's a quick test of this issue. For me, on multiple devices, it shows the serif font first, then the stylized custom font. https://microstudio.io/i/b3e3e3/fonttest/
