storage limit on the app
I downloaded the microStudio APP, versions 24.01.29 and 23.05.25 and it's tells me that my account is out of space,
I use more than 50 Mo, but the creator says "for unlimited storage, use the free microStudio standalone app: https://microstudio.itch.io/microstudio".
use the microstudio site.
Hi!
This is perfectly normal, it's not an error. When you use Micro Studio whether online or via applications, you get 50MB of free cloud storage, which is quite generous. I suggest you empty or delete your old projects or games, or make a donation to Gilles on Patreon so he can increase your storage space. It's not expensive, but the price depends on your currency. You can also create a second account if you really care about your projects; it's the music that takes up the most space!
hi, thanks for answering.
is there a way to store my projects directly on my computer, and not on the cloud ?
You can export them, but if you do, you'll have to export it again every time you make a change to the game. I think this would be the only way to store it on your own computer.
The offline app isn't supposed to enforce storage limitations. You can ignore the message it gives you about running out of storage, the message itself is a bug. You should be able to use as much space as you want, as it is local. If it seems to be more than just a warning, let me know and I will investigate.
hi, thanks for answering, I can't add any files to my project, (it's a 1600x720 sprite) and a message says "file too large, your account is out of storage space"
I can still write code, but I can't add any sprite or sounds/musics
